Lighthouse Win at Baltimore, 3-1
|
Long Island took on Baltimore in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Steve Romero, in particular, was fantastic. The Long Island right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-1. Larry Alexander recorded the save, his 5th. Baltimore drops to 5-12.
Long Island used a well-timed hit by Jesús Serrano to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Every loss hurts," said Baltimore manager Chris Schubert. "But this was a tough one."
