Put-In-Bay Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Put-In-Bay Commodores and Alaskan Bush Pilots.
Led by Willard Case, the Alaskan Bush Pilots downed the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 4-2. Case went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bush Pilots. Larry Booker picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-4 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 2 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs. The save went to Jim Carter, his 6th this season.
Case had a timely hit for Alaskan in the top of the sixth. With Alaskan trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-0 changeup into a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Alaskan.
In postgame remarks, Case applauded his team's "resolve."
