Godfathers Rally Late to Nip Vandals
The Eugene Vandals got a sterling performance from pitcher Brian McDaniel, but the Pontiac Godfathers still prevailed, 3-2. McDaniel threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. Tom Womack was credited with the save for Pontiac, his 10th of the season. The Godfathers raised their record to 15-22.

Pontiac used the timely hitting of Jorian Rebergen to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Godfathers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Rebergen said.
