The Eugene Vandals powered past the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 9-2, at The Riot Zone. Victor Haynes provided some of the pop. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Brian Myers got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 6 innings. The win puts the Vandals at 21-17, while the Commodores drop to 16-22.

Haynes contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Eugene in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Haynes took a fastball from Jorge Flores and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Vandals to leap in front, 2-1.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Haynes.
