Crawdads Suffer 6-3 Setback
The Walla Walla Walleye topped the Cut Off Crawdads, 6-3, with youngster Peter Young playing a key role. Young was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Walleye in the win. Picking up the win was Gilberto Barrón. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. Roberto Alfaro earned the save for Walla Walla.

The Walleye took the lead in the bottom of the second when Lao-che Zhu banged a two-out home run. Walla Walla had been trailing 3-1, but Zhu hit a 1-0 fastball from Bob Stevens for a 3-run home run.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Cut Off manager Miguel Aguilar.

Cut Off has now lost 5 straight.
