Davids Delivers Walk-Off Win for Blaze
Starting pitcher Jacob Wirt gave the South Beach Blaze a rock-solid effort. The North Canton, Ohio native helped his team defeat the Cut Off Crawdads, 3-2, at The Ballpark on the Beach. Their 21-18 record puts the Blaze 6th in the Premier A.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for South Beach. That's when Berend Davids hit a run-scoring double off fireballing right-hander Masaki Watanabe to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

After the game, South Beach manager Gerald Merendino applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
