Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Kingfishers

The Pittsburgh Kingfishers faced a tenacious opponent in Echo Park pitcher Barry Davis, but still scratched out a win at Pittsburgh Grounds by a final score of 1-0 in 10 innings. Davis went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Cipriano Flores in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Brendan Fulton took the loss. Echo Park, with the loss, is still a robust 12-5.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Pittsburgh designated hitter Carlos Rivera, facing Brendan Fulton, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Kingfishers the 1-0 win.
"This joint was rocking," said Rivera.
