Kennesaw right-hander Luis Yánez pitched his team to victory over the Chicago Tula at Jets Stadium. The final score was 6-1. Kennesaw raised its record to 22-22 with the win.

Roberto Flores had a big solo home run for the Jets in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Kennesaw leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a knuckle curve from Urpo Mäkitie, who is tied for 7th in the PA with a 8.8 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jets ahead, 2-0.
