The Put-In-Bay Commodores got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jesús López. The right-hander kept the Chicago offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 2-1 Put-In-Bay victory at Ramblers Ballpark. Their 21-26 record puts the Commodores 7th in the Premier A.

In the top of the second inning, third baseman Jorge Valdéz had a 2-run home run for Put-In-Bay. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Commodores on top, 2-0.

Afterward, Commodores manager José Trejo was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
