Alaskan pitcher Chris Waters had a large part in his team subduing the Newmarket Rogues, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Alaskan pitcher Lonnie Baldazo got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Francisco Reyes got the loss. Jim Carter was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.
Jeff Roberts had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Alaskan right fielder came through with a run-scoring single to put Alaskan in front, 2-1.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Bush Pilots manager . "This one was nice to get."
The Bush Pilots go to 18-29, putting them last in the Premier A.
