The Grim Reapers got a strong performance from pitcher Francis Owens, who stymied the Lake Erie offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Arryns Ballpark. Grim has now won 3 straight, while the Arryns have lost 3 in a row.

Francisco García came through with a big-time hit for Grim. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Grim manager Arnold Magowan.
