The Monroeville Yinzers topped the Columbia River Rats, 5-2, in USPL Single A action at Columbia Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Monroeville pitcher Richard Miller. Ken Lewis finished the game for Monroeville and earned his 5th save. The Yinzers now have a record of 9-40.
Monroeville relied on the hitting of Chris McNally to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yinzers on top, 5-1. For the game, McNally had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
McNally told a Monroeville Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
