In a low-scoring game between Long Island and Toledo, pitcher Steven Carlson was excellent. The Long Island right-hander helped his team knock off the Stingers, 1-0. The save was credited to Imbart Theunen, his 4th. The Stingers, now 6-12, continue their poor start.

Long Island used a well-timed hit by Jesús Serrano to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Serrano attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
