Tom Johnston, who led the SL in wins with 12 in 2058, was locked in. The left-hander led the Mexico City Blue Demons to a 4-3 win against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Leonard Dennis got credit for the save for Mexico City. It was his 5th of the year. Mexico City sits at 9-9 in the early going.

Mexico City relied on the bat of Mike Joseph to get the win. The designated hitter produced a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blue Demons ahead, 2-1. For the game, Joseph had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Tom was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban.
