The Put-In-Bay Commodores picked up a win at The Riot Zone, knocking off the Eugene Vandals, 4-3. On the mound for Put-In-Bay was right-hander Hadad bin Labid. He played a key role in the triumph. Put-In-Bay has now won 7 games in a row.
Rusty Howell, who is tied for 6th in the PA with a .378 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. Howell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Put-In-Bay up, 4-3.
"It's a mindset," said bin Labid. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
