In a low-scoring contest between the Kennesaw Jets and the Alaskan Bush Pilots, Luis Yánez was the X factor. The Kennesaw right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Ray Peck closed it out for Kennesaw, earning his 1st save. The 6th-place Jets hiked their record to 24-25.
Yánez, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 6-2. In 10 innings of work, Yánez gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while racking up 9 Ks. He kept the Bush Pilots punchless, offensively.
"We had a good game plan," Yánez said, "and we were able to execute it."
