A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Lake Erie Arryns and Chicago Tula.

Lake Erie pitcher Reginald Benson had a large part in his team beating the Chicago Tula, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Benson got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher David Cole.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 24-year old shortstop Walt Meyer. Meyer had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Arryns ahead, 5-2. For the game, Meyer had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Lake Erie manager Louis Espinosa praised his team's "energy."
