In a low-scoring contest between the Cut Off Crawdads and the Newmarket Rogues, Phil Gulick, the 30th overall pick in the 2063 draft, proved to be the difference. The Cut Off left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Crawdads win. The first-place Crawdads have won 4 consecutive games.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Sergio Reyes came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Newmarket pitcher Simak Vehuny, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Cut Off on top, 2-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Reyes said.
