Kennesaw Nets 6-5 Win Versus Bush Pilots
The Kennesaw Jets weathered a fine game by Alaskan first baseman Scott Powell to upend the Bush Pilots, 6-5, at Bush Pilots Park. Powell hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kennesaw reliever José Ramos was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Lonnie Baldazo. The Jets, at 26-25, sit in 5th place in the Premier A.

Kennesaw used a clutch hit from Jerry Striker to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Jets ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Striker.
