Ruíz Leads Liberty U-24 to 8-3 Win Over Jets
The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 welcomed the Kennesaw Jets to an night game at Liberty Youth Field.

The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 beat the Kennesaw Jets by a score of 8-3. Philadelphia right fielder Emílio Ruíz deserved the lion's share of the credit. Ruíz went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Liberty U-24. Pete Gross, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 3-4.

Second Baseman Seth Robinson made an impact for Philadelphia, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Baltwin Jens in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Robinson went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
