Cattlemen Suffer 9-3 Home Defeat
Starting pitcher Juan Ibarra pitched well enough to help the Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 9-3. Ibarra picked up the win for Vancouver, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The Cattlemen, now 5-14, continue their slow start.

Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Matt Turner to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 6-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Solid performance from our side," said Grey Wolves manager David Krause.
