Losing Trend Continues for Kennesaw
In a tension-filled contest between the Put-In-Bay Commodores and the Kennesaw Jets, pitcher Jorge Flores was superb. The Put-In-Bay right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Vicente Fernández, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 13th save. Kennesaw is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Put-In-Bay center fielder Javier Peña contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Commodores ahead, 2-0.

"Nice, tidy little win," Peña said after the game.
