The Chicago Tula faced a tough opponent in Put-In-Bay pitcher Arturo Santos, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ramblers Ballpark by a final score of 4-0. Santos went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs. Daniel Orr snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Arturo Santos suffered the loss. Harry Arrington picked up the save for Chicago, his 1st of the year.
Jean Mazet had a big 2-run home run for the Tula in the bottom of the third inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Arturo Santos and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Tula on top, 3-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Mazet said after the game.
Put-In-Bay's current losing streak is now 4 games.
