Crawdads Earn Late 3-2 Win
|
The Cut Off Crawdads, despite a fine performance by Kennesaw pitcher Sam Potter, grabbed a 3-2 win at Jets Stadium. Potter allowed 2 runs over 6 innings. Picking up the save was Jeff Fisher, his 21st. The 5th-place Crawdads improved to 31-25.
Cut Off went up, 3-2, on Rob Hancock's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hancock hit in the top of the ninth, left Kennesaw pitcher Irving Rascal shaking his head.
Kennesaw manager Roberto Ríos said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
