Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Delmarva Gallos and Newmarket Rogues.
Walt Murray, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, was locked in. The right-hander led the Delmarva Gallos to a 5-3 win against the Newmarket Rogues at Rogues Stadium. The winner was Murray. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Don Alistair.
Delmarva used a well-timed hit by Ebenezer Hedgehog T Cringebottom to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Gallos ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Delmarva manager Félix Martínez.
Today's win puts Delmarva at 26-31, while Newmarket falls to 24-33.
