The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at Ramblers Ballpark, knocking off the Chicago Tula, 7-3. On the mound for South Beach was right-hander Cristóbal Félix. He played a key role in the triumph. South Beach reliever Ron Pitts picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Alberto Martínez was saddled with the loss. The Blaze lead the Premier A by 4 games.

South Beach used a timely hit from Pedro Alonso to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blaze ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

In postgame remarks, Alonso said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
