Eugene Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Eugene starter Bill Owens pitched well against the Pontiac Godfathers at The Riot Zone. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 11 innings. The last-place Vandals own a record of 19-39.
The Vandals nabbed the win, in part because of pinch hitter Luis García. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place was jumping at the end," García said.
