Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Redwood Rhinos home opener. Morie Wada started for the home team against Peter Harris for the Tulsa Otters. The Rhinos were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 10-3, Tulsa. Rod Kimble, though, was impressive.

Wally Valdés hit a bases-clearing double off Morie Wada in the top of the third, which put the Otters in front, 4-1. In addition to the double, Valdés had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Tulsa skipper Bob Grzelak.
