Fans of the Germantown Uruguayans who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Germantown win over the visiting Hudsonville Flanderses, 2-1. Boyd Holohan started for the home team against Simak Vehuny. Boyd Holohan earned accolades for his performance. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ron Lee.

Germantown took a 2-1 lead on Juan García's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which García hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hudsonville pitcher Michael Elkins visibly frustrated.

"Boyd made his pitches," said Germantown manager Jamie Scott.
