The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish beat the Tulsa Otters, 4-3, at Plattsburgh Park. The Puffer Fish got a fine performance from second baseman Hayden Balsdon, who was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. George Hill was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Marcos Rodríguez. Mark Moore was credited with the save for Plattsburgh, his 2nd of the season.

Balsdon contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Plattsburgh get the win.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Plattsburgh manager Mike Carlisle.
