Elvin Baldwin led the charge as the Redwood Rhinos defeated the Ladue Rams, 15-12, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Wellsville. Baldwin went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 6. Redwood reliever Pedro Garza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mannus Klapwijk absorbed the loss. The win moves Redwood to a record of 2-0.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Baldwin delivered big-time for Redwood, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Mannus Klapwijk. The game-changing hit put the Rhinos on top, 14-11.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Baldwin.
