Crush Suffer One-Run Loss at Amarillo

Both teams had their chances, but the Amarillo Warheads eventually prevailed.
The Amarillo Warheads knocked off the Flint Crush, 3-2, in USPL Low A action at Ballpark of Henderson. Amarillo pitcher and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, native Jean-Jacques Grimaud had an outstanding performance. Grimaud got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Joe Jenkins wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Amarillo left fielder Bernardo Cuevas landed a blow when he belted a solo home run in the bottom of the second. It was his 1st home run of the season. With it, the Warheads took a 3-0 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Grimaud said.
The loss has the Crush at 2-1.
