Wiesblatt Leads Uruguayans to 6-3 Win Over Flanderses
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Hudsonville Flanderses and Germantown Uruguayans get after it.
Getting offensive support from Orca Wiesblatt, the Germantown Uruguayans topped the Hudsonville Flanderses, 6-3. Wiesblatt went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Uruguayans. The win leaves Germantown with a record of 2-1.
Germantown took a 4-3 lead on Juan García's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which García hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hudsonville pitcher Chuk-yan Miao visibly frustrated.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," García told the Germantown Today.
