Yinzers Rally to Win
|
Fans who congregated at Jets Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.
The Monroeville Yinzers took Boyd Holohan's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Jets Stadium. The final score had Monroeville getting past the Jets, 3-2, in 11 innings. Holohan over 6.2 innings allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7. The Yinzers, at 31-32, sit in 7th place in the Premier A.
It could have been a different outcome for Monroeville, had it not been for Ted Tribe, the 24-year old shortstop . Tribe contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put Monroeville up, 3-2.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Tribe.
