Due in large part to shortstop Neill Barthen, the Kennesaw Jets sunk the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 5-2. Barthen was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win has Kennesaw at 22-42.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Barthen hit a 3-run home run off Wanko Wasko. It propelled the Jets into the lead, 3-0.
