The Tulsa Otters downed the Crowley Cajuns, 4-1, at Titans Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Marcos Rodríguez had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Helmer Carlsson notched his 1st save of the season. With the win, Tulsa is 2-4.
Rodríguez, a native of Cumana, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept Crowley hitters off-balance, while giving the Otters 8 quality innings. Rodríguez threw 98 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 6.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Rodríguez.
