Billy Goats Use Late Surge to Win
The Colorado Billy Goats knocked off the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-1, in United States Silver League action at The Strip. Colorado pitcher and La Presa, California, native Shawn Zimmerman had an outstanding performance. Colorado has a record of 10-10.

Dennis Veeneman, who finished 3rd in the SL in on-base percentage with .377 in 2058, was 1 for 4 with a walk for Colorado. In a tie game with two out in the top of the eighth, Veeneman came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Billy Goats in front, 2-1.
