The Put-In-Bay Commodores had to overcome a fine effort from Eugene pitcher Curt Case to win, 7-5, in 10 innings at The Riot Zone. Case went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Eric Dalton picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Kent Church suffered the loss. Cam Stone was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 9 save opportunities.

Put-In-Bay used the timely hitting of Billy Mathis to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Commodores on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

In postgame comments, Mathis said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
