Bouwman Leads South Beach to 3-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between South Beach and Lake Erie, pitcher Stan Bouwman was excellent. The South Beach right-hander helped his team knock off the Arryns, 3-0. The Blaze sit in first place in the Premier A with a record of 41-25.
Bouwman was in the zone all game. He frustrated Lake Erie hitters while giving the Blaze 7 innings of quality work. Bouwman threw 94 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"I'm happy we won," said Bouwman. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
