D.C. Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
Toledo pitcher Mark Cunningham had a large part in his team beating the D.C. Divided, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Toledo has a mark of 12-9 after the win.
Toledo used the timely hitting of Ernesto Reyes to capture the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stingers on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Reyes told the Toledo Times.
