Redwood catcher Carlos Morales played a vital role in his team's 9-4 conquest of Hudsonville. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Redwood. With the loss, Hudsonville falls to 5-2.

With Redwood leading 4-3 in the top of the eighth, Morales hit a fastball from Shawn Paull for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Rhinos ahead, 8-3.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Morales told the Redwood Gazette, "and we played pretty well tonight."
