Jets Slip Past Godfathers, 6-3

The Kennesaw Jets topped the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-3, at Pontiac Copperdome. Kennesaw designated hitter Andy Bubb was a spark plug for the offense. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Ben Lee in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Richard Jiménez took the loss. The win puts Kennesaw at 34-33 this season.
Bubb had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 changeup from Richard Jiménez, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Jets a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Bubb.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bubb.
