Rhinos Rally to Nose Past Amarillo
The Redwood Rhinos topped the Amarillo Warheads by a score of 10-9. Leading the way was first baseman Santiago Vargas. Vargas was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Rhinos. Dennis Jones earned the save, his 4th, for the Rhinos. Amarillo drops to 2-5.

Ernesto Maldonado drew 1 walk for Redwood. The 20-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 9-9 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jeff MacFadden. It was his 1st walk of the season.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Maldonado.
