Libbinga Excels, But Puffer Fish Win
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish had to overcome a big game from Germantown designated hitter Reginald Libbinga to leave Ballpark of Albuquerque with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-8. Libbinga hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Carl Cook, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Lou Anderson got credit for the save for Plattsburgh. It was his 1st of the year.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Hayden Balsdon was at the plate when Plattsburgh scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Puffer Fish to go in front, 8-7.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Germantown manager Jamie Scott.

Germantown now is 2-6.
