Jets Rack Up 4-2 Win Versus South Beach
|
Kennesaw Jets starter Cai-fei Teng turned in a top-notch performance against the South Beach Blaze at The Ballpark on the Beach. The result was a win for the Jets, 4-2. In 7.2 innings, Teng surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Will Bennett got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Kennesaw used the hitting of Ian Stanley to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Jets on top, 2-1. For the game, Stanley had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We did enough to win," said Teng.
With the win, Kennesaw has a record of 33-36. South Beach falls to 43-26.
