The inspired effort of Northwest Territory first baseman Kyushichi Suzuki was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the Crowley Cajuns. Suzuki was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Cajuns a record of 4-4.

Nick MacIlwhom's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the game tied, 3-3. The Crowley third baseman hit a run-scoring single off Pepe Valentín to put the Cajuns up.

"Not the sexiest win," said Cajuns manager Bill Wallace, "but I'll take it."
