The Fort Knox Centennial clipped the Tijuana Toros, 3-2, in 11 innings at Toros Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Fort Knox pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Juan Castillo. Tijuana now is 5-4.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Luis Villarreal? The 18-year old catcher Villarreal stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put Fort Knox up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Castillo said.
