The Eugene Vandals picked up a win at The Cage, dropping the Delmarva Gallos, 3-2. Morie Wada, who is considered the best prospect in baseball by BNN, was the difference-maker. Jeff Rodríguez closed it out for Eugene, earning his 14th save. The win makes Eugene 32-38.

Santiago Vargas, who is tied for 8th in the PA in doubles with 12, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vargas contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Eugene up, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Vargas told the Eugene Herald.
