Hudsonville pitcher José Morales had a large part in his team beating the Redwood Rhinos, 7-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Michael Elkins earned the save for Hudsonville, his 1st. With the win, Hudsonville lifts its record to 7-2.

Matt Hughes was 1 for 3 with a walk for Hudsonville. The 19-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Javier Reza. It was his 4th walk of the season.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Hudsonville skipper Jacob Messer.
