The Eugene Vandals scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Delmarva Gallos at The Cage. Eugene pitcher David Mann held his own in the contest. Mann got the win, improving to 6-8. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The loss makes Delmarva 31-40.

Tied up with the Gallos in the top of the fifth inning, the Vandals got a boost from catcher Ángel Árias. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Árias saw a first pitch fastball from Lewis Smith and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Eugene on top, 2-1.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Mann.
