Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder Juan García, the Kennesaw Jets stopped the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 10-2, in 9 innings. Mario García, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held Huntington to 2 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Earning his 2nd save for Kennesaw was Gerardo Chávez.

García had a big hit for Kennesaw with no one out in the top of the sixth. With Kennesaw leading 5-2, García hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Jets up, 8-2.
