Commodores Suffer 8-3 Road Loss
The Newmarket Rogues topped the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 8-3, in USPL Single A action at Rogues Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Newmarket pitcher and Cooper City, Florida, native Ahobala Lalima. Newmarket is now 30-43.

Michael Woods had a big 2-run double for the Rogues in the bottom of the first inning. With Newmarket leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Hadad bin Labid and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rogues ahead, 3-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Lalima. "Successful pitchers do it."
