Getting an impressive start from Reginald Benson, Lake Erie beat Newmarket by the score of 3-0. David Cole picked up the save, his 14th. Lake Erie now has a record of 43-30 with the win.

Keith Bullock, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in bases on balls with 39, helped out the Lake Erie cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a double and a walk.

"Reginald kept his poise and got the job done," said Lake Erie manager Louis Espinosa. "He was outstanding."
