Scott McKinley pitched a gem to lead Caldwell to victory over the Cut Off Crawdads, 2-1. In 6 innings, McKinley surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Sonny Smith collected save number 13.
In the bottom of the fourth, Dave MacGruder delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Caldwell catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Chiefs in front, 2-1.
