Germantown wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Rodrigo Herrera, falling to the Hicksville Hounds, 6-5. Herrera threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Sergio Romero came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Hounds, now 3-8, have not found much traction so far in 2055.

Juan Soto found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the ninth. Facing Germantown hurler Michael Sutton, the 20-year-old third baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. His 6th walk of the season put the Hounds on top, 6-5.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Soto told a Hicksville Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
