Thomas Leads Blaze to Win
A good performance from designated hitter Curtis Thomas helped the South Beach Blaze defeat the Cut Off Crawdads, 5-1. Thomas was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Blaze. Stan Bouwman, the winner, is now 5-3. He struck out 7 and walked 4 over 6 innings, while allowing no runs on 7 hits. Mitch Hicks got credit for the save for South Beach. It was his 1st of the year.
